As a Security Data Analyst, you will be at the forefront of advancing data-driven assurance capabilities across operations teams. Your work will help Swiss Re continuously measure, prioritize, and communicate risk by transforming diverse security telemetry into actionable insights. You’ll play a key role in enabling automation, transparency, and continuous improvement across Swiss Re’s cyber defense ecosystem.
About the Team
The Security Operations integrates red teaming, vulnerability management, pentesting, incident management and threat intelligence into a continuous assurance framework that validates Swiss Re’s cyber resilience. Our mission is to evolve from scheduled checks to a continuous, intelligence-led approach — enabling proactive validation of security posture, control effectiveness, and risk awareness across all assurance disciplines.
We collaborate closely with other security teams on transparent reporting, metrics, and decision support aligned with NIST CSF and Swiss Re’s risk management frameworks.
In your role, you will:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance data pipelines, dashboards, and analytical models for continuous security monitoring of Security Operations
- Lead the transformation of diverse datasets (attack simulations, vulnerability data, asset inventories, detection metrics) into unified views of organizational risk
- Deliver actionable insights to guide prioritization and remediation through risk-based reporting and visual analytics
- Partner with operations teams to measure coverage, detection efficacy, and remediation cadence
- Lead requirements, analysis, ensuring business needs are understood and transformed into actionable, high-quality solutions
- Deliver comprehensive insights and reporting solutions for customers
- Drive data collection and transformation to uncover actionable insights, assess risks and highlight security trends
- Provide rapid and reliable data-driven support for time-sensitive decision-making
- Ensure processes and reporting frameworks are continuously optimised and scalable
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation
Your Qualifications
We are looking for a curious and data-driven professional passionate about cybersecurity and analytics.
Required Skills and Experience
- A degree in Computer/Data Science or comparable field.
- Strong data literacy and ability to model, transform, and analyze complex datasets.
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and scripting (Python, SQL, DAX).
- Ability to derive actionable insights from operational and security telemetry.
- Excellent communication and visualisation skills — capable of presenting analytical results to both engineers and executives.
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional security environments (e.g., vulnerability management, red/purple teams, larger teams).
- Very strong written and spoken English.
- High degree of initiative, ownership, and critical thinking.
- Experience with data engineering, and working with global teams.
Extra considerations for:
- Experience with Power BI data modeling and DAX optimization.
- Background in cybersecurity analytics, vulnerability management, or DevSecOps telemetry.
- Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with data ontologies and metadata integration.
- Experience with data engineering or API-driven reporting pipelines.
- Incremental delivery or iterative data product experience.
For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 42,000 and EUR 70,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
