<p>What's the job?<br/><br/>As Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for supervising the Human Resources team, ensuring the service is on point and solving any issue reported by the team.</p> <p>You will report to the Cluster Director of People &amp; Culture.</p> <p> </p> <p>Your day-to-day:</p> <p>- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, selection, talent development, learning, health and safety, people operations and labor relations.</p> <p>- Implement and oversees the administration of human resources programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits payroll, unions procedures, negotiation &amp; mediation (SMAC), people operations, and leaves; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.</p> <p>- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; budgeting develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.</p> <p>- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with the authorities' state and local, employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.</p> <p>- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.</p> <p>- Assists in the interviewing and hiring of Human Resource employee team members with the appropriate skills, as needed.</p> <p>- Oversees/monitors candidate identification and selection process.</p> <p>- Assists in maintaining effective employee communication channels in the property (e.g., develops daily communications and assists with regularly scheduled property-wide meetings).</p> <p>- Reviews progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency, and checks for supportive documentation and is accountable for determining appropriate action.</p> <p>- Utilizes an "open door" policy to acknowledge employee problems or concerns in a timely manner</p> <p>- Ensures employee issues are referred to the Department Manager for resolution.</p> <p>- Partners with Loss Prevention to conduct employee accident investigations, as necessary.</p> <p>- Communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.</p> <p>- Ensures compliance with procedure for accessing, reviewing, and auditing employee files and ensure compliance with the Privacy Act.</p> <p>- Communicates property rules and regulations via the employee handbook.</p> <p> </p> <p>What we need from you: <br/><br/>- Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field. <br/><br/>- 2+ years experience working in Human Resources department as Manager or Assistant Manager. <br/><br/>- Must be fluent in local language and English, additional languages will be highly valuable. <br/><br/>- Opera knowledge will be highly valuable.</p> <p> </p> <p>What to expect from us: <br/><br/>- Competitive salary.<br/><br/>- Discounted international room rates.<br/><br/>- Employee recognition programmes.<br/><br/>- Training programmes and access to IHG's training tool.</p>
