United Security Bank has an opening available for a Customer Service Manager for our Coalinga Branch.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the Branch’s day-to-day operations activities. Backs up Customer Service Representatives/Tellers and New Account Representatives as the need arises.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

· Supervises and trains the Branch Operations staff under the direction of the SVP, Chief Operating Officer.

· Reviews overdrafts, assigns tasks to Customer Service Representatives, supervises their completion, and measures the quality of their performance.

· Receives customer complaints regarding CSR staff and handles them appropriately with involved Staff.

· Develop individual cross-training schedules and goals for CSR personnel and follow through as to the effectiveness of training.

· Certifies GL accounts to be in balance.

· Approves exception items as presented by Customer Service Representatives and within the scope of approval authority. Approves large items for deposits or withdrawals.

· Under the direction of the SVP/Chief Operating Officer, complete performance appraisals on each Staff member.

· Follow Bank rules and procedures applicable to each regular, assigned, or fill-in-task. 

· Accountable to make sure that the department complies with any policy and procedures of the Bank or regulating agencies, checks on cash amounts in cash drawers to ensure compliance with the policy. 

· Research accounts for review, bookkeeping discrepancies, and audit of activity.

· Performs in a fill-in or relief role in all jobs within the scope of supervision. Performs as a Teller, New Accounts Representative, Vault Teller, and other CSR roles.

Requirements

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Three to five years of teller and other bank operations experience including at least one year as a Lead Teller and or New Accounts Representative.

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Ability to supervise, coach, train, and direct the staff and work involved in the operations area.

· Must possess a proven ability to handle human relations problems. Must be an effective communicator. Must have the ability to work effectively with the SVP, Chief Operating Officer, operations staff, Bank management, and Bank customers.

· Ability to cope with pressures of daily deadlines and to encourage staff to cooperatively work together towards group goals.

· Must have proven ability to train staff.

· Must be able to accurately appraise staff performance under the SVP/Chief Operating Officer’s supervision and develop remedial action for below-standard performance.

· High ability to accurately work with numbers and perform arithmetic calculations.

· Ability to accurately and effectively use office machines, Working knowledge of Personal computers and specific software about personal job assignments and assignments of staff.
