Job Description
The US Specialty Finance Lead position drives the financial planning and month-end close process for gastrointestinal care (GIC) portfolio with specific focus on SG&A and FTEs. The responsibility encompasses managing approximately $200MM in annual expenses and supporting the GIC Marketing and Sales Force teams. The role will develop financial planning and analytical skills and this role will engage with the GIC and US Specialty team members as well as 3rd Party Collaboration partner.
Responsibilities
- Leads and develops monthly, quarterly, and annual Plan, LRP and LBEs for GIC products and the product collaboration using BPC, SAP, HFM. Forecast responsibilities include P&L, FTE and balance sheet.
- Operates independently to prepare relevant variance analysis for each Planning Cycle and develops meaningful management reporting schedules for direct areas supported.
- Works directly with GIC market, GIC Sales Force, Patient Services, Commercial Analytics and Operations and Accounting Shared Service on monthly close process and financial reporting to ensure complete, accurate and timely monthly actual results, including variance analysis and commentary for P&L, FTE, and balance sheet.
- Understands monthly results and communicates issues vs. benchmark to businesses supported to agree on resolution or action plan.
- Leads financial reviews and approvals (purchase order requests and invoices).
- Leads ad hoc analysis, projects and process improvements as needed.
- May have supervisory responsibility for one or more direct reports.
