Job Summary:
Ancala Country Club is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, an eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that delight our members and guests while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares and cooks food items according to standard recipes, ensuring consistency and quality of all dishes.
- Manages a specific station on the line (e.g., grill, sauté, fry, etc.) and ensures all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment are available.
- Adheres to food safety standards (e.g., proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices) to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
- Works efficiently to complete orders in a timely manner during peak service hours, maintaining a sense of urgency while ensuring quality.
- Communicates effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Helps monitor and maintain inventory levels and assists with ordering and receiving food and supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred (1-2 years in a line cook or prep cook role).
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety practices, and proper cooking techniques.
- Ability to read and follow recipes and food prep instructions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food quality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not required.
