Tactical Data Link Manager

Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to support Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC) as a Tactical Data Link Manager (ICO / JICO). The ideal candidate has Combat Systems management experience overseeing system configuration, operation, maintenance, and repair. They possess expertise in Tactical Data Information Link systems and are qualified as an Interface Control Officer (W24A).

ATGPAC is tasked with training and certifying all Pacific Fleet ships to ensure they meet evolving standards for naval and joint combat operations. This requires a dynamic, flexible approach to training, with ATGPAC delivering both in-person and distributed training across a broad spectrum of maritime missions. Special focus is placed on training shipboard teams to independently maintain and enhance combat readiness throughout deployment cycles.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• Conduct computer-based simulations and Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) events in the ATGSD Battle Lab to enhance Pacific Fleet readiness
• Integrate live and synthetic training for ships and teams, including Final Battle Problems (FBP), Inport Training Exercises (MITE), and certification events
• Utilize Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE), Tactical Data Links (TDL), and the Mission Distribution System (MDS) to create realistic operational scenarios
• Collaborate with Tactical Training Group Pacific (TTGP) to execute Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) Program events
• Support the Distributed Training Architecture (DTA) under the guidance of Commander, Pacific Fleet (CPF)

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of Combat Systems management experience as a Naval Officer, Chief Petty Officer, overseeing combat systems configuration, operation, maintenance, and repair
• Expertise in Tactical Data Information Link generation systems, including Line of Sight Link 11(A)/16(J), Satellite-J, Link 16, and MTJ, as well as Tactical Voice / Data Communications
• Experience setting up and operating Link Monitoring and Management Tool (LMMT) and Gateway Manager (GWM), including configurations, layouts, and routing
• Proficiency in setting up and operating GCCS-J for network and CST configurations
• Qualified as an Interface Control Officer (U.S. Navy Enlisted Classification code W24A) or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in scenario development, training, and configuration / operation of one or more of the following systems:
  • Modeling and Simulation
  • Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF)
  • Multi-System Automated Remote Control and Instrumentation (MARCI)
  • Battle Force Team Trainer (BFTT)

Knowledge of:

• Setup and operation of GWM, LMMT, and TDACS for UTJ/STJ/MTJ and Link 16 hardware
• Coordination with C3F Data Fusion Cell and providing MTJ parameters for Link MITE, BMD events, and FBP FST-U events
• Fleet Synthetic Training architecture
• The Surface Force Training and Readiness Manual (SFTRM)
• Staff and Fleet operations and planning procedures

Security Clearance:

• Must possess an active TOP SECRET/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance
