As a Software Engineer Intern, you will assist in the design, development, documentation, and testing of our software programs. You’ll become an integral part of an engineering team while staying closely connected to the entire WellSky summer intern cohort through various collaboration and networking events and summer experiences.
Our internship program is designed for talented college students looking to gain hands-on experience and make an impact. We offer challenging work and give you the chance to provide immediate value. You’ll work with cutting edge technologies, sharpen your existing knowledge, and develop new skills while collaborating with teammates across our organization.
The summer internship is located onsite at WellSky’s world headquarters in Overland Park, KS.

A day in the life!
Responsibilities Can Include:
- Writing and debugging code for business applications in the healthcare domain
- Researching, investigating, and fixing a wide range of technical issues and proactively learning new technologies to support our software applications
- Participating in documenting and preparing system requirements and design specifications and testing software applications
- Creatively approaching problems and proposing solutions in collaboration with WellSky teammates and senior leaders
Do you have what it takes?
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge and demonstrated competency in several key languages, technologies and/or platforms used across WellSky technology teams including, but not limited to: JavaScript, .Net, Ruby on Rails, C#, Python, SQL, Java, Angular, PowerShell

Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently a junior or senior-level student with two or less summers before graduation completion
Additional job expectations applicable to this position include:
- Willingness to work additional or irregular hours as needed
- Working in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures
- Performing other responsibilities as assigned
