Senior Product Associate, Data and Analytics

As a Senior Product Associate in Data and Analytics, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success.
 Job responsibilities

• Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
• Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
• Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers
• Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle
• Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies in data modeling, knowledge graph technologies, metadata management, and data architecture
• Promote adherence to industry standards for data ontology (e.g., RDF, OWL) and semantic modeling
• Defines and tracks product metrics to measure success and provide insights to stakeholders on product adoption and performance
• Writes and maintains epics and stories in JIRA, evaluating readiness and outcomes, and proceeding with additional iterations, develop and prioritize a product backlog, and lead collaborative scrum events (backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review and sprint retrospectives) 
• Establishes relationships with supporting partners to provide insight into upcoming changes and identify their interoperability and migration requirements, risks, and impediments as early as possible

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
• Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle
• Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
• Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
• Foundational understanding of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, and physical modeling)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
• Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving complex initiatives forward
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentations skills across various stakeholders and senior management; ability to synthesize large amounts of information, summarize key concepts and articulate relevant issues to senior management

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Practical experience in modern data processing technologies, e.g., Kafka streaming, DBT, Spark, Airflow, etc.
• Exposure to metadata management, data cataloging, and data governance frameworks
• Knowledge of data modeling patterns for analytical and operational use cases
