Job Description
As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible throughout your assigned area. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions or information as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to observe for irregularities and report findings as required.
- Document and report all security-related activities, incidents, and observations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow all site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related operations.
- Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as directed.

Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
