Position Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accreditation and Authorization Specialist to support the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Armaments Center (DEVCOM-AC) in the accreditation and authorization of the U.S. Army Armament Graduate School (AGS) at Picatinny Arsenal. The candidate will provide subject matter expertise and registrar support to ensure compliance with Department of Education (DoE) and Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) accreditation requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise to support DEVCOM-AC in the authorization and accreditation process for the U.S. Army Armament Graduate School (AGS).

• Collect, organize, and prepare accreditation and authorization documentation required for submission.

• Assist in analysis efforts related to accreditation standards and provide comprehensive support throughout the authorization process.

• Prepare registrar-related documentation and ensure timely submission (no later than 60 days prior to deadlines) to the Department of Education and Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

• Support and coordinate with accreditation site visitors, ensuring timely provision of required follow-up information.

• Attend and participate in conferences, workshops, and training sessions led by MSCHE and other accrediting bodies as needed.

• Meet regularly with MSCHE liaisons and Department of Education officials to facilitate federal accreditation and maintain open lines of communication.

• Track, manage, and report progress related to accreditation milestones to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred (Education, Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, or related fields).

• 3+ years of experience supporting higher education accreditation processes (MSCHE experience highly preferred).

• Knowledge of Department of Education and regional accreditation requirements and processes.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

• Experience preparing registrar-related documents for official submissions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with accrediting bodies and government officials.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and document management systems.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working with military or government education institutions.

• Prior experience supporting MSCHE or Department of Education accreditation efforts.

• Familiarity with federal education regulations and higher education compliance standards.
