We are seeking an Information/Cyber Security Analyst to provide the government with support for the follow-on system to the Naval Integrated Tactical Environment System (NITES), NITES Next which will increase the capabilities ashore, afloat, and mobile METOC support for tactical operations. This Analyst will primarily work with the government to ensure software development activities meet all security requirements and user workflow optimization, and perform Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) tasks to support the Naval Integrated Tactical Environment System - Next Generation (NITES-Next) Software Development team where required during the RMF (Risk Management Framework) cycle, applying the disciplines necessary to perform cybersecurity audits and assessments, and manage the system's security posture throughout its lifecycle.
This position is hybrid, however, most work will be performed off-site with the requirement of attending occasional meetings on-site.
Requirements
- Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in a Cybersecurity, Engineering, T&E or A&A related field.
- Experience with locating Fixing and Testing issues that result from applying Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configuration standards onto Navy Information Systems.
- Experience with JBoss 6.3 Enterprise Application Platforms, STIG, V2R3, or latest version; EDB Postgres Advanced Server STIG V2R2 or latest version; Web Server SRG, endpoint security STIGs.
- Knowledge of the RMF process.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong admin/network admin skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of Program Tools.
- Experience with STIG Viewer
- Experience with SCAP Compliance Checker and OpenSCAP.
- Experience with Confluence.
- Experience with JIRA.
- Experience with Wiki.
- Ability to assist with the development of cybersecurity-relevant guidance.
- Ability to stay up to date on emerging security threats.
- Ability to work independently and with a cross-functional team.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Candidates with an active DoD Secret clearance are preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Mandatory Certifications:
- Meet DoDM 8140.03 stan
