Job Description

This position reports to VP Enterprise Applications, based in San Jose, CA.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead strategy, planning, and implementation for all applications used by Finance 

  • Define 3-yr systems roadmap for improved controls, accuracy, quality, and productivity of transactional processes 

  • Lead a team of IT owners of SOX controls, Key Reports, change management,  

  • Simplify architecture of ERP boundary systems for  

  • Drive the effectiveness & efficiency of users processing transactions in Record-to-Report, Treasury, Tax, and Procure-to-Pay 

  • Collaborate with Analytics and Data Governance teams to reduce clients’ efforts to compile, increase their confidence in the quality of their data, and pivot from retrospective to predictive 

Qualifications

 REQUIRED:

  • 10+ years progressive work experience in IT. 5+ years supporting Finance, with preference for additional experience supporting Procurement or Tax. 

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus on Information Systems, Computer Science, with preference for Master's degree or Accounting minor. 

  • 5+ years of experience with SAP, with preference for experience migrating from ECC to Rise 

  • Track record of material improvement to controls posture, simplification of ERP boundary systems, reduction of period close cycle time, working capital  

  • Demonstrated leadership of transformational change  

PREFERRED:

  • Preference for ability to craft compelling strategic end-state, plan the path to achieving, bring superiors and peers along, and execute with quality and velocity. 

  • Preference for the ability to see around corners, anticipate where clients will need to go, and research emerging trends in the applications vendor ecosystem. 

  • Preference for experience communicating with chief accounting officers and chief financial officers 

  • Preference for chartered accountants 

  • Preference for experience governing master data and contra revenue processes

  • Exceptional team building, retention, development skills.
