The Maintenance Field Representative will be responsible for supporting our San Francisco service operations. The ideal candidate will possess the technical acumen and a strong understanding of service operations. If you're able to think quickly on your feet, love to solve operational problems, have exceptional people skills, and have a passion for adventure, then we want you on the team. You will be front and center working with our technicians every day to assist with fleet servicing needs and coordinate with our Mx Planning, Fleet Engineering, Inventory Management, and AV Operations teams. You also will be the primary POC for external partner vendors. This role will require a dynamic and resourceful leader with excellent communications skills, who will foster cross functional interaction and champion a culture of continuous improvement to support Service teams. Experience in training, process standardization, continuous improvement, and managing escalations is a plus.
What you will be doing
Reviews and adjusts maintenance schedule created by Regional / Market Planning based upon daily / weekly constraints by location
Plans daily workload and provides feedback to Regional / Market Planning
Prioritizes workflow at facility
Verifies vehicle receipt
Verifies labor availability
Ensures part availability
Ensures that all Down Vehicle Work Orders have clear comments, expected completion dates, and next steps
Revises / updates Work Order status
Works with cross functional partners across internal and external teams to make sure that all vehicles/service teams have the support that they need (parts, engineering support, work instructions)
Communicates vehicle completion to AV Operations/Starfleet
Communicates need to amend work definitions to Regional / Market Planning
Opens follow-up work orders (as required)
Communicates repeat failures to centralized planning to adjust preventive / predictive schedules
Manages/returns cores and MRB parts for Centralized Planning and Supply Chain
Coordinates with Regional / Market Planning in processing 3P repairs and Work Orders
Manages approvals for repairs above policy thresholds
Updates and communicates deferred work back to Market/Regional Planning for future scheduling
Assures that training has been performed (as applicable) and manages Tech Skill Categories
Manages 3P sublet (not contracted vendors)
Reviews and updates Oracle upon completion of 3P work
Addresses changes in work scope based on 3P identified issues and adjusts future preventative maintenance WOs if affected
Assures WO matches internal WO for repair tracking
Ensure 3P accomplishes work as requested
What you must have
Minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in a service operations environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in an automotive or high-tech environment preferred
Experience with managing remote service teams preferred
Working knowledge and experience of automotive products, repairs, and parts
Exhibits patience, empathy, attention to detail, and a passion for problem-solving
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Great attitude with a high-energy personality, able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong desire to help people and willingness to learn new and innovative automotive technologies
Over-deliver in a team-based environment to achieve a common goal

The salary range for this position is $32.00 - 47.00/hour. Compensation will vary depending on location, job
