Note:  This is a seasonal internship opportunity to develop and acquire additional skills.  High School graduates, college students, and tech/trade school students are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old.
High School Diploma.
Valid driver's license.
Capable of climbing stairs, ladders, etc., carrying reasonable loads (up to 50 lbs), operating gas-powered equipment, and other manual tasks as well as ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions as required to maintain buildings in first-class condition.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with minimal supervision and with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work harmoniously with staff, students, and community.
Previous experience in cleaning, painting, and lawn maintenance.
Able to perform data entry tasks and use Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to read blue prints and technical manuals.
CAD software use, Microsoft office tools

Role Responsibilities
Perform operations as scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, waxing, dusting, etc., involved in the cleaning of school buildings by using hand or mechanical cleaning tools.
Assist maintenance and operations personnel in the performance of their duties (work with painters, plumbers, electricians, HVAC mechanics, carpenters, and custodians).    
Paint interior and exterior surfaces.
Care for lawns, seed, aerate, fertilize, roll, etc.
Move materials, load and unload trucks, and process delivery orders (items up to 50 lbs).
Assist skilled workers with unskilled elements of their functions.
Perform general clean-up work inside and outdoors using hand and machine tools.
Perform general repair tasks as digging and excavating.
Operate a motor vehicle, tractor, power mower, or related mechanical equipment.
Demonstrate courteous and professional demeanor to all stakeholders of Washington County Public Schools.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to sufficiently and efficiently move throughout the building and grounds for extended periods.

Ability to move, raise, lower, and carry objects up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be able to operate powered equipment.
Must be able to bend, crouch, stoop, reach, walk stairs, climb, and shovel.
Will be subjected to loud noises, dusts, fumes, and hot and cold outdoor temperatures.
