Job Summary:
The Associate Director of R&D will serve as a technical leader for new product development within the Infusion business.
Responsibilities
Will act as the technical leader for complex medical device platform(s) and important sub-project(s) with responsibilities for large elements of the product development effort.
Will provide technical leadership, direct and indirect reports, with the ability to deep dive into technical issues.
Will Implement best-in-class R&D tools, processes & standards within the development platform.
Will lead in the development of project plans and timelines for product delivery.
Will create Product Development goals which are linked with business priorities and traced to individual engineering responsibilities.
Will drive and lead innovative problem resolution at an accelerated pace.
Will work in a development environment which supports both organic and inorganic development opportunities
Will lead and work with Functional Leaders to assign engineering disciplines to achieve platform goals.
Will work with other leaders to mentor, develop and manage performance of talent assigned to the platform.
Will to plan and administer yearly platform budget to ensure proper execution of deliverables as aligned to business strategy
Will work with multi-functional engineering managers to ensure proper talent allocations throughout the year
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in an engineering field (Mechanical, Systems, Physics, Electrical, Biomedical, Software).
10 years of growing responsibility in R&D technical engineering roles with experience in product development.
Understanding of quality management systems
Regulated industry experience (FDA, Automotive, Industrial, etc).
Experience with design for manufacturing, process validation and design transfer
Experience leading a team of multi-disciplinary engineers.
Project management experience for sophisticated systems.
