Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for an Engineering Intern to add to our Division Applications Team in Denton, Texas. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:

• Updating and adding information to the Engineering Data Book and Body Builder Manuals.
• Responding to dealers, bodybuilders, and customers in a professional manner to meet or exceed their vehicle spec’ing needs.
• Identifying options and alternatives to simplify and improve the chassis spec’ing process.
• Creating quote chassis using the SmartSpec sales tool for customer quotes.
• Providing vehicle weight information for use in SmartSpec and EASOP.  Provide weight estimates to assist customers and dealers during the specification process.
• Providing customer assistance on gearing recommendations to meet the customer’s powertrain optimization goals.
• Reviewing Engine Support Center requests for customer programming changes with PACCAR MX Engines in the field.
• Participating in customer reviews as the technical resource supporting the Sales Department.

Qualifications & Skills

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a BSME or related program.
