About the role
What You'll Do
You will oversee and coordinate warehouse operations including receiving, storing, inventory management, and shipping of products. You will supervise and direct associates in daily tasks, resolve workplace issues, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. You will analyze inventory data, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with management regarding warehouse status.
Essential Functions
- Advise associates on proper care, preservation, handling, storing, maintenance, and shipping of products.
- Train associates in equipment operations, safety, and general warehouse procedures.
- Assign and direct work, monitor performance, and schedule tasks for shipping and receiving employees to maximize efficiency.
- Make recommendations regarding hiring, promotion, discipline, and training while ensuring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action policies.
- Resolve grievances among workers and take corrective action based on system-generated reports and identified errors.
- Conduct bay counts, maintain accurate inventories, and review records to comply with established procedures for storing and shipping products.
- Communicate with management regarding warehouse inventory status, freezer conditions, and inventory accuracy.
- Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
What Experience and Education You Need
- Associate's degree plus minimum 2 years of inventory management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Demonstrated experience supervising warehouse teams.
- Experience applying analytical and mathematical techniques to inventory management.
- Proficiency in PC skills including Microsoft Office.
- Forklift license required.

Physical Requirements
- Able to work in spaces with 55 inches (1.4 meters) of headroom.
- Able to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures varying from 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius) to minus 45 (-45) degrees Fahrenheit (-43 degrees Celsius), as well as outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation).
- Able to climb ladders or step ladders.
- Able to tolerate heights up to 30 ft. (9 meters) and be able to access elevated products from inside safety cage.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment required for working at heights and in cold temperatures.
- Able to stand and/or walk continuously or frequently over an 8-10-12 hour shift. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Able to frequently step up/on or step down/off to mount and dismount material handling equipment.
- Able to perform fine articulation movements with fingers/hands and/or feet to operate equipment.
