Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Government Center Patrol - Part Time in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Perform armed patrols of the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Follow location-specific policies and procedures while conducting patrols and responding to incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, applying security-related protocols as trained.
  • Carry out security-related procedures in line with Allied Universal standards and client expectations for government facilities.
  • Provide customer service to individuals at the location by assisting with inquiries and guiding them on security-related matters as needed.
  • Document and report security-related observations, incidents, and/or unusual activities according to company and site guidelines.
  • Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, maintaining professionalism and composure during critical situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
