About the role
Description
Our maternity center consists of 9 labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum beds. The birthplace works with Mother-baby, special care nursery. The unit has a collaborative team that works together for excellent patient care and comfort. The Registered Nurse prescribes nursing care, delegates nursing activities, and coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to provide optimal quality care, consistent with the hospital’s mission and nursing philosophy, objectives, and standards.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in North Carolina.
- Certification in BLS for healthcare providers. (AHA, American Red Cross, National CPR Foundation, NHCPS, EmedCert accepted)
- Successful completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation which includes age and population specific skills for the area of practice in which the RN will be working and addresses growth and development needs for the patient for whom the RN will be providing nursing care.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
