Job Description
Your Career
As the Director of GTM Executive and Internal Communications, you lead a team of communications professionals who ensure that the global Sales teams have the information they need to help customers and meet their revenue goals each quarter. This role operates at the intersection of strategy and execution.
You love doing bold and creative communications work and understand the key role that communications plays in the growth of business and culture. You work cross-functionally to influence and build repeatable programs that accelerate the flow of information to and within the sales organization. You and your team will work closely with regional comms partners to ensure the right information is prioritized and delivered at the right times and in the right platforms and vehicles.
This strategic function ensures that sales and customer-facing teams are not only aligned with corporate objectives but are also equipped with the messaging, motivation, and information needed to drive revenue and market penetration.
Benchmarking for this pivotal role extends beyond traditional communications responsibilities, demanding a unique blend of strategic acumen, sales fluency, and leadership prowess.
Your Impact
- Executive Comms support to the President: A key benchmark is the ability to serve as a trusted advisor and executive communications support to the global President and senior GTM and Sales leadership. This involves developing executive messaging, preparing keynotes, speaker notes, all-hands meetings, executive social engagement, and ghostwriting internal and external communications that are authentic and impactful
- Drive Sales and GTM Alignment: The director is responsible for ensuring the entire GTM organization, including sales, marketing, and customer success, is on the same page. This is measured by the clarity and consistency of messaging across all channels and the seamless flow of information from leadership to the field
- Lead Change Management Communications: In the fast-paced GTM environment, this leader is expected to effectively communicate organizational changes, new sales methodologies, and evolving market strategies to minimize disruption and foster buy-in
- Oversee Content and Channel Management: A crucial responsibility is the creation and dissemination of compelling and easily digestible content for the sales audience. This includes everything from newsletters and intranet updates to video scripts and sales kick-off materials. Success is benchmarked by content engagement and the effectiveness of the chosen communication channels
- Your team develops the best practices and governance for communicating to the Sales organization
- Your team owns key tools and platforms used to communicate with the Sales audience, including The Loop (intranet), Slack (collaboration), Workship and Panopto (video)
