SNF Activities Director - Logan

Rocky Mountain Care -Logan is excited to announce we are looking for a Activities Director to join our team in our Logan location. The ideal candidate has a fun and energetic personality, experience working with seniors, experience in activity planning and the ability to manage a small team.

Duties include overseeing the facility’s activity programs, planning the monthly activities calendars, preparing and running daily activities including games, crafts, etc., coordinating/scheduling various programs to come in to the facility and most importantly having fun with the residents.

Requirements:

• Current food handler’s permit
• Has a passion for world class, 5 start quality care for our Residents
• Is creative and knows how to make a limited budget work
• Strong team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 1 year previous experience in Skilled nursing recreational activities recommended
• Work hard and be reliable
• Be creative and have fun

Required Qualifications

The activities program must be directed by a qualified professional who is a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who:

1. Is licensed or registered, if applicable, by the state in which practicing and
2. Is:

• Eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990; or
• Has at least 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years; or
• Is a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or
• Has completed a training course approved by the State.
