From managing day-to-day pharmacy network operations, developing standard reporting, to crafting pricing and underwriting strategies, our Drug Value Strategy team has us going! Our Drug Trend Solutions folks participate in client negotiations to establish rebates with key industry players while also creating attractive and lucrative pricing strategies and formulary recommendations for potential clients.

As our Manager of Drug Trend Programs, you will be key in analyzing, strategizing, and helping to develop, manage, and expand pharmacy programs.   You will be working on various high priority programs and initiatives that you can mold and grow into a best-in-class portfolio.  Provided support and autonomy to engineer drug trend solutions that will ultimately help grow a new and pivotal area that will be focused on providing value driven initiatives to our clients.

The fundamentals for the job…

• Develop, implement, and manage pharmacy programs for managing drug spend (including specialty drugs) which includes establishing and meeting short and long-term goals and reporting on how the programs manage pharmacy spend trend.
• Ensure regulatory standards are met across all drug value programs and the drug value strategy team is informed of new upcoming regulations. This includes CMS and other government changes impacting rebates, reporting, pricing, and other applicable processes.
• Complete cost modeling and analysis to determine optimal coverage strategies and to support the value assessment committee
• Analyze drug trends using Abarca client data in support of drug management strategies
• Lead and drive project and programs that will help decrease trends
• Improve healthcare system efficiency with financial and clinical data

The bold requirements…

• Pharmacy Degree (PharmD or RPh) required
• 7+ years of leadership experience in health plan, PBM or IDN settings
• 5+ years of experience with formulary, pharmacy & therapeutics (P&T), drug utilization management programs
• Experience in project management, KPI’s and OKR’s and data visualization
• Experience managing key strategic initiatives in healthcare/PBM industry
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• We are proud to offer a flexible hybrid work model which will require certain on-site work days (Puerto Rico Location Only)

Nice to haves…

• Experience with Microsoft Project tools is a plus
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
