Job Description

SUMMARY:
Montclair State University seeks a Director of Global Programs and Partnerships to plan, organize, teach, coach, and direct the strategy and implementation of international programs in the Feliciano School of Business (FSBUS), as well as their administrative support. The Director is charged with developing and maintaining relationships with partner institutions and agencies in order to: explore opportunities for collaboration and participation, institute new programs, nurture and continuously improve existing programs, and, as necessary, review and help to manage existing engagement agreements. The Director also develops faculty and student talent for a changing world through teaching and curriculum design, which directly impacts institutional priorities and creates a cohesive approach to global engagement. The Director influences the curriculum to include global perspectives, ensuring that faculty and students are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to engage in an increasingly interconnected world.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1) Implement strategic vision for global programming to align with FSBUS’ mission and educational goals;
(2) Collaborate with FSBUS’ leadership on curriculum to integrate perspectives on global business issues;
(3) Monitor updates and implement best practices established by AIEA, NAFSA, EAIE, and other professional organizations;
(4) Further FSBUS’ national/regional visibility in International Education by participating in national organizations and regional consortia;
(5) Support accreditation process of FSBUS by providing guidance on AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS requirements regarding student success through global competencies enhancement.
(6) Oversee operations of International Disney programs, e.g., oversight of FSBUS’ and partner schools’ student recruitment, enrollment, curriculum management, planning and logistics while students on campus;
(7) Provide ongoing support for students in International Disney programs during internship;
(8) Design/manage international exchange programs, travel abroad opportunities, and collaborative projects;
(9) Support development of new international programs, e.g., undergraduate, certificate and graduate degree offerings, short duration programs, and corporate training programs;
(10) Facilitate development and implementation of policies for international study, research, service learning and exchange programs;
(11) Direct/supervise Coordinator for Global Programs, Global Programs Associate and On-Site Coordinator
(12) Design curriculum, generate class materials, and teach at minimum 8 instruction class sessions, over course of two academic semesters, to faculty and administrative leaders regarding relevant rules and procedures for internationalization activities
(13) Design curriculum, generate class materials, and teach at minimum 8 instruction class sessions, over course of two academic semesters, to chaperones and trip leaders regarding 2 available resources, practices, and protocols for safety and security when traveling abroad with students;
(14) Design curriculum, generate class materials, and teach at minimum 10 instruction class sessions, over course of two academic semesters, to Global Programs Office team, i.e., Coordinator, Associate and support/student staff, regarding delivery of effective advising and support to the diverse body of students;
(15) Design curriculum, generate class materials, and teach at minimum 8 instruction class sessions, over course of two academic semesters to students in Disney Academic Exchange Program (which offers two internship courses for academic credits.);
(16) Determine and assign academic credits for students participating in Disney Academic Exchange Program;
