Members of our engineering team work on a variety of projects using diverse technologies. Smartsheet is a complex and richly interactive web application built with JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS, AJAX and WebSockets on the front-end, and Java, MySQL, SNS/SQS on the back-end. You will contribute to our front-end development to make our customers’ Smartsheet experiences more delightful and engaging.

You will report to our Engineering Manager located in our Bellevue, WA office, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer. The rate of pay for this role is $35.00 hourly.

You Will:

• Develop and enhance reusable, front-end components used across our product (React, Redux, Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, html, css)
• Develop and maintain server-side Java code
• Contribute in all aspects of product development: idea generation, customer engagement, planning, design, prototyping, execution, shipping, and operational excellence
• Work with a team of passionate, collaborative engineers, and with diverse teams such as product and design

You Have:

• Pursuing a BS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Recent graduate or a rising senior
• 1+ year of experience writing code
• Basic understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Passion to learn technologies and processes to work independently
• Desire to share your perspectives and participate in relevant discussions
• Must be legally eligible to work in the US on an ongoing basis
