Team Member, Mechanical Maintenance

<p><span><span><span>Dublin Stations currently comprises of Dublin Bay Power, Poolbeg and North Wall generation stations. </span><span>The Maintenance Mechanical Fitter will be an integral part of the maintenance team with responsibility for the safe, reliable and efficient maintenance and troubleshooting of the generating plant and equipment to help ensure that Dublin Stations operates to strict efficiency, availability, environmental and commercial standards. </span></span></span></p> <p><span><span> </span></span></p> <p><span><span><span>The successful candidate will work with a wide variety of mechanical equipment and processes from valves up  to and including large rotating equipment. </span></span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><span><a name="_Hlk187928051"><span>They will be required to work autonomously, be flexible and be a self-starter with the ability to provide support, on a full or part time basis, to other teams and projects as required by station management. </span></a></span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><span> </span></span></p> <p><span><span><b><span>Key Responsibilities  </span></b></span></span></p> <p><span><span>   </span></span></p> <p><span><span><span>Duties of the role includes but may not be limited to:  </span></span></span></p> <p><span><span> </span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span><span>Perform hands on planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities in accordance with site policies and procedures. </span></span></span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span><span>All aspects of hands-on mechanical fitting work in a heavy mechanical work environment.  </span></span></span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span><span>Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the CMMS.   </span></span></span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span><span>Preparation and review of task specific Method statements and Risk Assessments. </span></span></span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span><span>Carry out authorized roles under the safety rules as required (Safe Systems of Work).  </span></span></span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span><span>Any other duties as required which may be assigned to you, from time to time, by your line manager.  </span></span></span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span><span>The successful candidate will be required on occasions to have flexible working hours and be available for callouts.  </span></span></span></li> </ul> <p><span><span> </span></span></p> <p><span><span> </span></span></p> <p><span><span><b><span>Experience and Qualifications </span></b> </span></span></p> <p><span><span>   </span></span></p> <p><span><span><span>The successful candidate will be self-motivated and required to work as part of a close team in a Generating Station environment, interacting effectively with other station staff and contractors as necessary.  </span></span></span></p> <p><span><span> </span></span></p> <p><span><span><b><span>Essential  </span></b></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span><span>Recent 2-5 years Thermal, Hydro, or renewable generation plant hands-on mechanical maintenance experience or equivalent.  </span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>FAS / SOLAS / Senior Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or equivalent.</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Recent experience working on valves, pumps, gearboxes, installation and removal of heavy plant equipment</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Experience and technical knowledge of power station mechanical maintenance procedures or mechanical maintenance practices in similar heavy process industry. </span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Ability to follow  maintenance procedures. </span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Strong safety culture and ability to work in a team environment. </span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Full B driving licence.  </span></span></span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span><span>Good IT skills.
