Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join our team. In this essential role, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our Human Resources function by leading HR operations, supporting strategic initiatives, and providing trusted guidance to employees and managers. The Senior Human Resources Manager plays a key role in delivering exceptional internal client service while helping the firm maintain its commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of exempt and non-exempt HR Operations team members by establishing performance expectations, fostering accountability, and supporting professional growth.
  • Provide oversight of employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, employment changes, and related HR administration.
  • Manage and support firmwide performance management and merit review processes, including communications, training, and manager guidance.
  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and performance management.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR processes, workflows, documentation, and automation opportunities to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Partner with HR leadership to implement strategic initiatives, organizational changes, technology enhancements, and departmental projects.
  • Analyze and communicate HR metrics, trends, and reporting to support business decisions and organizational initiatives.
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives that enhance the employee experience and strengthen workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including recordkeeping, regulatory reporting, audits, and HR documentation standards.
  • Conduct audits of employee records and HR systems to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with legal and firm requirements.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, and applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment and benefits laws, including Title VII, ADA, FLSA, ERISA, FMLA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
