Collins Aerospace is looking for a Mechanical Repair Technician II for our Miami, FL Landing gear Facility, one of the most rapidly growing facilities across the company.

The selected individual will assemble, test basic and major Landing Gear components for various types of narrow and wide body aircraft,  prior to being delivered to the Customer.

This position will be working in an Onsite capacity.

Work Shift: Second shift (Monday - Friday - 2:45 - 11:15 pm)

What You Will Do

• Assemble and adjust test side and drag strut assemblies.
• Assemble and test shock strut assemblies
• Assemble, fit , dimension  and  inspect  axle beam assemblies and components.
• Document the testing and assembly processes in order to comply with applicable regulations. ​

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

• Experience in using measuring tools such as:  micrometers, calipers, height gage, hydraulic gages, etc

• Experience in reading and Interpreting blueprints and overhaul manuals for assembly purposes

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in Landing Gear or general aviation experience
