Feedlot Accounting Clerk - Burbank, WA

Summary

Applies general accounting principles, office procedures and policies, and controls, to efficiently accomplish accounting tasks related to the receipt of all feedlot commodities. Provide receptionist and clerical support for the feedlot office, truck scale, and purchasing department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Answers main office telephone, takes messages, provides information to callers.
• Greets and directs visitors, ensuring on-site security procedures are followed.
• Operates fuel pump controls for on-site equipment operators. Orders supplies, files, data entry, preparing outgoing mail and/or shipments.
• Acts as back-up for other office accounting staff in their absence.
• Responsible for weighing in trucks and creating scale tickets using a touchscreen operating system. Directing truck drivers of unloading procedures and directions.   
• Maintains and updates computer application to include contract and other account information. Contacts commodity sellers to ensure invoice weights and grades are correct; reconciles system reported inventory with physical inventory. Performs regular recap of sales contracts, verifying accuracy of application to proper customer contract.  Reconciles accounts and pays for all commodities. Communicates as necessary to provide contract activity detail, account receivable information and other relevant information as requested.
• Inputs parts inventory information to keep current accounting of inventory levels, receives inventory from invoices, onto the computerized system.
• Drives the parts pickup to deliver and/or receive parts and other items to and from businesses and Company locations.

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

6+ months related experience and/or training

Requirements

• Computer literacy is required
• Possess a valid state driver’s license
