Facilitates the educational development and professional growth of assigned nursing personnel. Responsibilities include development and implementation of orientation, in service and continuing education for all nursing unit staff, including agency, which focuses upon the scope of service, emphasizing the age, psychosocial and physical needs of the patient population.EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or bachelor’s degree in a health-related field required.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or master’s degree in other health related field preferred.
- Nursing certification preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Three to five years specialty-specific nursing experience, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills. Demonstrated effective organizational, teaching and leadership skills.
