ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking an Business Development Coordinator who supports the growth and development of the company by seeking new clients or lead opportunities after researching and analyzing industry data and trends, and supporting others internally who are managing these same efforts.
Job Functions:
- Collaborate with the Business Development Team and leadership to develop strategies to drive company growth.
- Assist with identifying new clients that align with Tepa’s business strategy.
- Track and record metrics, data, and statistics on connections, client retention, and competitors through Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Attend meetings with and on behalf of other members of Tepa’s Business Development team to present customized messages to new and existing clients.
- Assist the Business Development team, Tepa’s leadership, Project Managers, and other employees with cultivating client relationships.
- Participate and provide support to trade shows, conferences, and other sales-related functions as requested.
- Provide client insights to project managers and team leads during proposal / pre-solicitation process.
- Assist the Business Development team, Tepa’s leadership, Project Managers, and other employees with tracking client solicitations and business forecasts to maintain an awareness of the competitive landscape.
- Become familiar with and navigate opportunity portals (i.e. SAM, GovWin, Bidnet, etc.)
- Assist with the review of marketing material, proposals, and collateral.
- Assist with technical writing.
- Be involved in Society of American Military Engineers and other related organizations.
- Support Business Development and Proposal team with special projects.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related fields preferred
- 1-2 years’ relevant experience in sales and/or marketing
- Desire to learn about the government/contractor relationship and business development in the government contracting environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Dynamic personality and high energy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
