Job Purpose: The Audit & Claims Clerk is responsible for processing, researching, and reconciling inventory discrepancies or claims. This includes tracking/reporting of inventory such as Finished Goods, CHEP Pallets, PECO Pallets and other product/materials as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs physical counts of inventory including Finished Goods, Pallets, and Materials in order to maintain accurate inventory.
- Counts, reconciles, and reports inventory on a daily basis.
- Accurately inputs inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity.
- Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on-time.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Reconciles customer claims against Inventory Adjustments and researches as appropriate
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
- Utilize computer terminal to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.
- Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in warehouse environment.
- Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
- Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.
Education and/or Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and write emails.
- Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
- Forklift certification a plus.
