Responsibilities

Responsible for administrative (non-clinical) business operations functions including vendor services, contract management, medical records, physician order management, credentialing and billing/invoicing. Provides oversight of centralized administrative services, shared between hospice, home care and palliative care. Ensures efficient and cost-effective quality services in compliance with Federal, State, local regulations, and JCAHO standards.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or other related

    field required.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • Five to seven years’ progressive job-related experience, which will include at least

    two years’ satisfactory experience as a business manager or director within a hospice, home health agency or related program.
  • Knowledge of JCAHO standards for Hospice, Medicare (HIM 11) and State Department of Health and City regulations.

  • Knowledge of third-party reimbursement for hospice and palliative care. Ability to demonstrate effective critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work within an integrated health care system.

  • Demonstrates leadership qualities in organizing and maintaining a health care delivery system.

  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Ability to mentor and motivate staff effectively.

  • Excellent Word and Excel skills, and able to use an electronic clinical information/MR system.
