OVERVIEW
Capytify has an exciting opportunity for a remote Machine Learning Engineer based in either of our EU locations Poland, Greece, Portugal, Slovakia, Czechia and Hungary. We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer with experience in natural language processing and a passion for innovation to join one of our product teams. You will be working with our internet-scale search data, slicing and dicing it using cutting-edge NLP. You will be collaborating with ML engineers from other teams to better understand the structure of our data and how best to utilise it. The role offers exceptional opportunities to help develop existing product lines, and have ownership of both R&D and deployment processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll be doing:
- Build models for analysing search behaviour on the internet
- Implementing prototypes of the algorithms and models you design in Python
- Focus on delivering solutions to production (this is not a research-only role)
- Introducing, evaluating, and recommending machine learning technologies that may be relevant to our success (e.g., TensorFlow, Spark, etc.)
- Contribute to discussions on appropriate frameworks for Machine Learning Operations
- Designing training and evaluation protocols
- Producing insight and performance metrics to share with internal and external stakeholders
- Setting up monitoring for performance metrics and overall system behaviour including alerts for any anomaly detected
- Working with product and analytics to build hypotheses, design tests, monitoring and KPIs
- Join Captify’s company-wide Machine Learning chapter and share experiences and learnings with the wider team
REQUIREMENTS:
What you need to be successful:
- Experience delivering working ML/AI solutions to production and refining them over time
- Good working knowledge of Python, ML and commonly used libraries - Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-Learn etc.
- Good working knowledge of SQL
- Passionate team player with a desire to share knowledge and learn from others
- Excellent communication skills in English
Things that are a plus but can be learned on the job:
- Previous NLP experience is a big plus
- Understanding of transformer architectures (e.g. hugging face transformers, fine-tuning, prompt engineering etc)
- Experience with open-source models (e.g. Falcon) and closed-source (e.g. GPT, Llama2/3)
- Knowledge of model serving and orchestration (e.g. Airflow, MlFlow, Argo, vLLM)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environments (e.g. AWS)
- Some experience with GPU acceleration, model quantization or other inference optimizations (e.g. ONNX Runtime)
- Experience in Spark and Databricks
- Not afraid of getting your hands dirty with production
- Bachelor degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent experience
