The Role

Genmab is focused on the creation and development of innovative and differentiated antibody products, with the aim of improving the lives of cancer patients.

As our new Research Associate you will be part of the Antibody Research Materials department. Four closely connected teams focus on fueling Genmab’s discovery pipeline by supplying the base elements for the projects: the research materials. Our challenge is to deliver these at predictable and fast timelines and high user-friendliness. This vacancy is part of the Protein Sample Management.

This team is responsible for releasing protein batches after data review, receiving and managing the research material inventory, distributing the antibodies internally as well as organizing shipping to external partners.
 

In this position, you will work as a Research Associate in the Inventory Management team. Together with the team you are responsible for managing the inventory and distributing materials to the various research groups in Genmab. With good teamwork and clear communication, you will be part of one of Genmab’s business critical teams supporting the development of therapeutic knock-your-socks-off antibodies.

We are at a pivotal moment in professionalizing and accelerating our business, and we must anticipate output that will be multiple times greater than last year. Automation is key to achieving this.
 

The Responsibilities

As Research Associate, Protein Sample Management, you will be part of the Inventory Management team which is responsible for the storage and internal and external distribution of Genmab’s research antibodies and proteins.

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the inventory and issuance of samples to the requesters;
  • Contributing to the optimization and innovation of our team;
  • Communicating with Scientist and Research Associates about requests and updates
  • Identifying and addressing inefficiencies in workflows;
  • Implementing and utilizing automation tools to improve our operations

 

Requirements:

You are motivated, have a service-oriented attitude, and can deal with changing priorities and unexpected workloads. You like to work in a team, but you are also capable of working independently.

Moreover, you meet the following professional requirements:

  • MLO or HLO (Bachelor’s) degree in biochemistry, biology, or equivalent;
  • Experience working in a laboratory according to established procedures;
  • You are accurate, flexible, solution driven;
  • Experience with software in automation and data handling;
  • Ability to maintain a details oriented behavior while working on different workflows through the day;
  • Ability to be proactive, enthusiastic and goal orientated;
  • Ability to communicate with business level English both oral and written;
  • Industry related experience is an advantage.
