Job Summary 

 

The Unit Clerk in the Child/Adolescent Behavioral Health unit assists in non-clinical procedures and activities that are necessary to the operation of an organized nursing unit:

  • Organizes and maintains patient records.
  • Provides support to clinical staff in accessing medical records and retrieving documents.
  • Performs clerical tasks required to support the functioning of the unit, including but not limited to supporting administrative departments, supplies management, filing, completion and delivery of paperwork.
  • Assist and support the hospital's contracted providers to ensure client access and service provision.
  • Coordinates client transportation and consult appointments as needed for clients and families, and any related appointment needs of clients under direction of treatment staff.
  • Provides telephone and unit desk coverage for unit, clinical, and medical staff.
  • Provides reception desk coverage upon request.
 

Qualifications

 
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of experience in a health care setting is a plus.
