Examples of duties
This position oversees the full scope of Occupational Therapy Services and Certified Peer Specialist Services to ensure effective, compliant and consumer-centered programming. It requires sound judgment, strong leadership and a thorough understanding of therapeutic practices. As a Chief Occupational Therapist, you will perform the following duties:
- Policy Development: Participate in creating policies and procedures that guide the delivery of Occupational Therapy Services
- Program Oversight: Plan and direct therapeutic programs that match the cognitive, emotional and physical needs of consumers
- Staff Leadership: Supervise and support staff through coaching, evaluation and clear expectations
- Service Evaluation: Monitor departmental activities to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery
- Cross-Department Work: Coordinate with other clinical disciplines to improve consumer care and support rehabilitative goals
- Administrative Duties: Serve as an Administrative Abuse Investigator and manage essential reporting and compliance responsibilities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Occupational Therapist Supervisor; or
- Two years of experience as a professional licensed occupational therapist; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Necessary Special Requirement:
- Possession of a valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Occupational Therapy Education and Licensure.

- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
