As an Associate on the Desk, you will work at the core of E-commerce: operating at the intersection between customers, suppliers, and technology! More specifically, in this role, you’ll manage a team of associates, engage with suppliers, and push aspects of our strategic agenda with cross-functional partners. You will be expected to lead initiatives that enable us to achieve our vision and produce measurable outcomes, problem-solve with business stakeholders and tech partners alike, articulate and execute against tactical plans, and monitor service metrics.
Supplier Service Specialist
Wayfair is seeking collaborative, innovative, and adaptable candidates for a full-time position as a Supplier Service Specialist within our Operations team. Operations Associates will have the opportunity to gain experience in core functional areas at the center of our logistics and supply chain functions and contribute directly to the growth and success of the company. What you’ll do:
At a high level, the Supplier Service Specialists will work closely with operations and finance teams to ensure that complex or escalated supplier issues are resolved effectively and in a timely manner. This role will require cross-functional stakeholder management, innovation, and the ability to use a problem solving framework. Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Manage supplier service issues that are escalated to you by frontline agents. Escalated issues cover a variety of topics including operational status updates, exception requests, and invoice disputes.
- Build expertise in CGF’s operations and support functions over time (Ocean Operations, Drayage Operations, Accounts Receivable, Billing & Reconciliation, Product Team, etc).
- Provide feedback to our inbound ticket triage team to increase resolution on the first touch.
- Establish a feedback loop to relevant operations and support functions teams to drive an improved customer experience for CGF suppliers.
- Identify opportunities to improve or automate processes with ticket trends, and work with cross-functional teams to implement those improvements.
- Work with Account Management teams to identify opportunities for future business and upsell opportunities.
What You’ll Need
Basic Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of transferable experience in a corporate environment, including internship and co-op experience.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in freight forwarding, operations management, logistics, supply chain, or B2B customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to influence others.
- Analytical mindset able to process large volumes of data using a variety of reporting tools (Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Jira, etc.).
- Ability to distill complex information in a simplistic way via emails, charts, graphs, and other forms of presentations.
- Passionate about execution with strong interest to drive customer engagement.
- Desire to own projects from beginning to end, and thrive as part of a team as well as individually.
- Comfortability navigating a fast-paced, dynamic environment with little structure.
- Experience working with, analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting data with clarity and recommended actions.
