This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum.
Do you have deep understanding of monetization, data gathering and insights? Do you a real passion for insights?
What You’ll be Part of:
OnStar Services is a division within General Motors’ Software organization tasked with ensuring our customers enjoy world class experiences inside and adjacent to their vehicles. We own the go-to-market approach as part of the enterprise shift to deliver ongoing digital experiences to our customers. The Revenue Operations team specifically is tasked with ensuring revenue growth is future proofed, imagining how things could be rather than the current landscape. In the near term, this team will instill confidence in our long-term plans, continuously questioning whether we’re measuring the right things to earn customers for life. The Revenue Ops team has an outsized impact on enterprise revenue and profitability and is looking to continue strengthening our focus on insights to accelerate our growth plans. If you’re a business savvy professional, highly skilled in finding and deriving insights through your strong analytical and technical capabilities, let us get to know you.
Some of what you’ll do:
- Identify opportunities / schemes leading to step function acquisition or retention improvements
- Build self-service solutions for you and the team to leverage / improve our operations
- Create and adjust queries for ad-hoc analysis on existing data assets to root cause performance and utilize insights to drive our business tactics
- Stand up visualizations, when appropriate, for easier insights and storytelling
- Strengthen our understanding of customer lifetime value (CLV) through insights around omni-channel acquisition and churn
About you:
- Win or learn mindset. Be ready to define what that mindset means to you
- You live in the future, seeing things how they could or should be, not how they are
- Your default wiring is set to “Yes, if”
- You have an undeniable bias toward action; you’re not afraid to make decisions and take on the accountability for the outcomes
- You’re a connecter, you work well cross functionally, ensuring we maintain an “anti-silo” culture
- You’re seeking an experience embedded in a business unit rather than an analytics CoE
- You take pride in your creativity but you’re a quant / data person and logic is foundational to who you are
- You’re unwavering in pursuit of how we scale this division of General Motors
- You’re motivated by ambitious goals and obsessed with how you can make an impact
Some of what will help you be successful:
- Proven business acumen while also capable of self-service when it comes to leveraging analytics to guide business outcomes
- History of cross training analytical/technical skills to junior talent
- High competency with scripting languages (e.g. SQL), BI visualization tools (e.g. Power BI), and data manipulation (e.g. KNIME)
- Ability to atomize components of CLV and influence the appropriate decision
