HOW AN INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction

• Responsible for implementation and maintenance, such as platform and software patching, of operating system and related software in support of cyber related activities.

• Establishes and implements standards for computer operations, consistent with documented customer cyber policies, for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters.

• Monitors system resources, aids in the design, and implements backup and recovery processes, and troubleshoots system issues and outages.

• Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, performs data recoveries.

• Automates processes to streamline monitoring, troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance capabilities.

• Generally considered a specialist in area of assignment. May lead individuals assisting in the work.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Security Clearance Level: a current Secret clearance is required

• Education: BA/BS (or three (3) years of additional experience in lieu of degree)

• Required Experience: seven (7+) years of related experience

• Required Technical Skills: System administration level skills with Email, Firewall, Domain, LDAP and User Support

• Ability to administer Linux server, perform VMWare builds and act as an escalation point for user support on those technologies.

• Experience with Workstation imaging, patching, and configurations

The likely salary range for this position is $108,979 - $147,443. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
