We are seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineering Associate to join our federal team at our Navy Systems, York, PA plant. This position supports development and production of control systems for Johnson Controls Navy Systems (JCNS) manufactured HVAC&R equipment and Windows® applications on US Navy combatant ships and US Coast Guard ships by performing verification, modification, and problem resolution for electrical wiring and connection diagrams, system wiring drawings, control panel drawings, other electrical subassembly drawings, JCNS electrical standards, and chiller software.

As a Sr. Electrical Engineering Associate , you will:
- Troubleshoot nonconforming systems and components for manufacturing, service, test labs, customers, etc.
- Perform a variety of complex hardware testing: produce product test plans and standards, supervise execution of test plans, recommend design changes based on test results, work with outside vendors to resolve issues and design changes, and verify hardware design revisions.
- Interface with other JCNS functions including engineering, drafting, QA, manufacturing, marketing, service, and contracts, as well as JCNS customers, suppliers, outside consultants, and members of other business and geographical units to communicate and resolve project concerns and issues.
- Review software specifications, systems, subsystems, models and coding using analytical and investigative methods and techniques to ensure required specifications meet system needs.
- Support development of algorithms to diagnose and control heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. Algorithm support activities include compilation of information from subject matter experts, execution of validation tests, compiling results, and interfacing with subject matter experts to solve issues identified in testing.
- Research and review standards, specifications, drawings and other documentation to insure that requirements are fulfilled, verify accuracy of work completed, and correct documentation when required to ensure product design integrity, manufacturability, and serviceability.
- Support drawing development by preparing sketches and drawings.
- Design, build, and modify test fixtures.
- Communicate technical information in written, verbal, and graphical form in a clear and precise manner. Provide and exchange technical information to vendors, customers and inspectors for assigned products and components.
- Generate software test procedures, execute and supervise software testing, and interface with developers to solve issues identified in testing.
- Follow codes, standards, and safety procedures related to job.
- Order, obtain, and deliver equipment and technical information using company procedures.
- Operate computer and learn to create programs necessary to perform other duties.
- Provide training of others in areas of technical and practical knowledge.

Required Qualifications:
- This position requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent and three (3) years minimum experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance and reliability driven, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to travel (up to 10% of time), staying from several days to a few weeks.
- Position requires the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain an active DoD security clearance.
- Previous experience with software validation, hardware qualification testing, and military control systems is preferred.
- Must possess strong communications skills including the ability to interpret requirement specifications and generate detailed functional specifications, application, installation, and troubleshooting documents.
