JOB OVERVIEW

Design new software applications. Conceive, experiment with, and present architectural approaches for platform components, software applications, including web, client, server, and others. Design new operating system components. Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across the entire product.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Oversee and manage a diverse technical team
• Training, coach, and mentor staff to develop new skills and understand new processes and procedures
• Align the Technical Services team to the company vision and implement new tools and procedures
• Work to streamline and enhance processes and procedures by way of cloud services, .NET ecosystem technologies, modern JS frameworks, SQL and NoSQL DBMS, object-oriented development, native and/or hybrid mobile development, REST and event-based microservice APIs, DevOps, and CI/CD. 
• Integrate/consolidate software stacks on diverse cloud providers (preferably Azure) and languages (like Java, Python, C++)
• Development and enhancements of applications, APIs, scripts, used in the integration or automation of metadata into the media production and distributions systems
• Define software testing strategies that will bring business value to our brands with a focus on but not limited to applications, mobile, web, APIs, tools, and services

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 15+ years relevant experience; may have degree or equivalent
