The University of the Cumberlands is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant within the Forcht School of Nursing. The position will work with the Dean and Program Directors to complete administrative duties.

Job Responsibilities:  The Forcht School of Nursing Administrative Assistant will have responsibilities in the following areas:

  • General administrative duties such as answering phones, typing, correspondence, scheduling, filing (paper and electronic), travel arrangements, and event planning.
  • Track academic documents such as affiliation agreements, preceptor agreements, accreditation reports, student documents, evaluation forms, etc.
  • Take minutes for meetings.
  • Track budgets, complete purchase orders (requests and complete payments), reconcile statements.
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies, and other materials.  
  • Assist in off-site nursing activities.   
  • Assist with surveys, track data, and maintenance of records.
  • Maintain records for the nursing program including student records, faculty files, Board of Nursing, ACEN and CCNE accreditation.
  • Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide support and assistance to nursing faculty.
  • Other duties as assigned by Program Directors or Dean.

Job Requirements

The candidate should:

  • Hold a minimum a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Be competent in the usage of basic technology such as email, internet, conference call lines, and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate a history of employee excellence.
