Job Description

The Sr. Manager/Director - Technology, Risk and M&A/Divestitures works within the M&A, Divestitures team within the Office of the CEO. This practice is responsible for developing and syndicating a disruptive business solution that leverages Zscaler’s comprehensive Zero Trust Exchange cloud platform to accelerate the client's M&A and Divestiture journey. 

This highly visible contributor role will leverage the individual’s deep understanding of digital technologies, including knowledge of cloud technology, networking, and IT security, to design transformative enterprise architectures.  Additionally, this role will be expected to partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales leadership, alliance partners) and external stakeholders (e.g., Advisory firms, global systems integrations) to deliver digital solutions for our clients.

This role is fully remote and requires less than 20% travel (preferred cities: New York, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, and Charlotte)

What you will do: 

This role is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual with experience in IT, Cloud, Cyber Security and M&A/Div. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Highly entrepreneurial self-starter, who’s passionate about customer success 
  • Engages with multiple stakeholders (clients, advisory firms, IT, Cyber, IMO/SMO) to drive a successful client transaction using Zscaler 
  • Ample experience leading Digital Transformation, Infrastructure, Networking, Cyber Security and M&A/Div engagements 
  • Solid understanding of industry standard frameworks (e.g., ISO 28k, NIST, SASE, Zero Trust, MITRE Attack framework and SDN) 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Highly GTM/client centric role, requiring daily client focused activities and advisory firm interactions
  • Advise clients on leveraging Zscaler for their M&A/D transaction, with an emphasis on Cyber Security and Zero Trust adoption
  • Support the GTM teams with core M&A/Div methodologies, solutions, content and architectures
  • Collaborate with a variety of internal functions to ensure solutions are implemented and supported in-line with client expectations
  • Support development of solution and customer proposals; Develop and deliver product/solution demonstrations and white boards
  • Work closely with advisory firms (M&A, Cloud, Technology, Security), to expand relationships and showcases Zscalers differentiation 
  • Collaborate with Enterprise clients, in preparing for M&A/Divestiture transactions, to support Zscaler’s approaches and emerging practices that deliver synergy benefits earlier in the transaction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology  or a related field 
  • 6+ years of experience in a top tier advisory firm, as a Sr. Consultant or Manager in an CIO Advisory, Cyber security, Cloud and/or IT Strategy & Planning role 
  • Prior experience leading presales pursuits and/or proposal creation with ample IT/Cloud/Cyber Security knowledge 
  • Strong customer relations, executive presence and critical thinking skills as well as written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence technical decision makers and executives, before, during and after a transaction
  • Demonstrated ability to earn client confidence, while  comfortable driving technical implementation planning directly with Enterprise clients and/or partner with Big 5 Advisory firms 
  • Advantageous to have has past experience as a cloud architect, solutions consultant and/or cyber security strategist 
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity, sense
