Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) has an opportunity for an experienced, results-oriented Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to serve as a trusted financial partner to Global Technology’s senior leadership organization.
Purpose and Scope:
The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager for Global Technology (GT) will play a key role in driving financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and cost management for the GT organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the annual planning process, consolidating monthly forecasts, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. As a collaborative partner, the FP&A Manager will work closely with GT Finance colleagues to analyze and communicate the financial implications of strategic and operational decisions. Additionally, this role will provide dedicated financial budgeting and analytical support to the Chief Information Security Officer’s (CISO) organization. The FP&A Manager will also engage with GT senior leadership, cross-functional teams—including Accounting, PMO, Procurement, Tax, and others—and strategic third-party partners to ensure the successful financial execution of Global Technology initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual and five-year budgeting process for Global Technology, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and securing senior leadership approval
- Deliver executive-level consolidated financial performance reports on a monthly basis, along with detailed, value-added analyses to support strategic decision-making as needed.
- Collaborate with Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis and Accounting to prepare and deliver monthly variance reports, supporting comprehensive ADM performance analysis.
- Develop and maintain historical spending metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate financial performance over time.
- Oversee the global cybersecurity budget, providing direct financial support to ADM’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
- Track and analyze regional spending activity, collaborating with global colleagues to enhance financial visibility and accountability
- Identify and consolidate productivity improvement opportunities, presenting actionable insights to senior management
- Collaborate with Procurement to ensure timely approval of resources, minimizing service disruptions and maintaining operational continuity
- Develop and enforce procedures to ensure vendors are compensated solely for work performed and contractually approved, maintaining financial integrity and compliance
- Provide leadership in cross-functional Finance initiatives, driving continuous improvements in reporting, forecasting, planning, and analytical processes
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology (IT) or similar field; MBA recommended
- 10+ years in diverse finance-related roles (experience with large, multi-national corporations a plus)
- Strong leadership and collaboration skillset with an emphasis on execution and driving results through influence leadership
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an ownership mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on articulating complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of the organization - including at the executive level
