Beehive is committed to grow and advance the defense industrial base while manufacturing exclusively in the USA. This role can be located at our Loveland, Ohio or Englewood, Colorado facility.
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Principal Reliability Engineer to lead the analysis, research, design, and testing of components, processes, and systems to develop new products and enhance core offerings, while producing comprehensive system models to statistically predict field reliability, safety, and key reliability drivers.
What You'll Do...
- Reliability & Safety Engineering
- Develop and define reliability, and safety design requirements for new and existing for existing gas turbine engine systems
- Prepare reliability predictions, FMEAs, and safety analysis documents that provide detailed and comprehensive assessments of new subsystem designs
- Perform complex analyses and devise tests to validate design performance, reliability, and safety metrics
- Modeling & Analysis
- Conducts complex analysis and devises tests to validate performance in the development of new products, methods, materials or processes. Completes required documentation, generates detailed reports, creates customer proposals and presentations and/or change proposals. Determines required actions, performs or directs completion of tasks, and publishes findings and/or results.
- Risk & Compliance Management
- Provide fault tree analysis and common cause analysis as required for safety assessment
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS 9100, OSHA) and contribute to audits and assessments
- Reporting & Communication
- Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders and customers
- Communicate findings clearly across multiple departments to drive data-informed decision-making
You have...
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering field
- Minimum 12 years of experience in reliability engineering
- Proficiency in reliability engineering tools/software and statistical analysis
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, AS 9100)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Nice to have...
- Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering field
- Familiar with MIL-217F and MIL-472
- Experience working with and creating internal process
