Sr. Full Stack Engineer (Java)

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java) to join our growing team in the Digitization initiatives in North America Commercial lnsurance and Major space. You will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing new software and web applications as well as maintain existing applications. To do so, you will partner with business architecture and enterprise architecture teams to deliver best in class software solutions to accelerate the digitization of our growing line of business.  Leveraging your hands-on software engineering experience and architecture background, you’ll play a key role in building scalable and resilient systems at an enterprise level. 

In this role, you will: 

• Work in Agile environment and participating in story refinement, estimation, and delivery, as well as project/program definition and estimation
• Provide technical leadership throughout the design process and hands-on guidance with regards to technical practices, procedures, and techniques
• Serves as a lead developer, design, develop software and mentor for junior level Software Engineers, as well as leading consultant teams. Participate in issue triaging, solving and release deployment
• Work with architects, developers, and QA throughout the organization to seek opportunities for increasing automation
• Work with security and infrastructure teams to remediate vulnerabilities and end-of-life software/hardware

• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering/architecture, as well as data analysis and management; experience in the insurance and/or finance industry preferred
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related discipline
• Java stack (Java, Spring Boot and/or Quarkus Frameworks, JVM internals, Junit, JavaScript, Apache Camel)
• Cloud Computing, Azure, AKS, Microservice architecture, Angular framework, MVC, SOAP Web services, JSON, REST APIs, Kafka, MQ, Git, TFS, ADM (Atlasmap), XSLT, DevOps tools
• Good exposure on any RDBMS and Bigdata Platforms, MongoDB and Data Modelling
• Design thinking, risk mitigation, seamless execution, strong relationship management and effective communication skills are required
• Experience in digital security and privacy practices
