Merchandising Project Coordinator

1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Merchandising Project Coordinator to support a short-term merchandising hierarchy initiative. This project-based role will focus on reviewing and coding historical SKU data across multiple attributes to help establish a standardized merchandising hierarchy.

The ideal candidate will have familiarity with merchandising assortments, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to complete a high-volume data project within a defined timeframe.

Key Responsibilities

• Review approximately 14,000 historical SKUs and assign appropriate hierarchy classifications
• Code and define SKUs across 13 merchandising attributes
• Apply consistent logic and merchandising knowledge to ensure accurate categorization
• Maintain data integrity and accuracy throughout the project
• Collaborate with the Merchandising team to clarify attribute definitions as needed
• Meet daily productivity targets to ensure timely completion of the project
• Document inconsistencies or gaps in product data for team review

Qualifications

• Prior experience in merchandising, product data, or assortment management preferred
• Familiarity with retail or gifting assortments strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage high-volume data work
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and product data systems

• Ability to follow established guidelines and attribute definitions
• Strong communication skills for clarifying data questions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools

Additional Information

• Temporary assignment expected to last approximately 10 days

The expected hourly pay range for this position is $50.00 to $65.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
