MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Enterprise IT Support Officer (EITSO) – Equipment & Network Installer to join our team in McLean, VA. In this role, serve on a team of IT support professionals responsible for installing network equipment while providing a productive and collaborative computer workspace (new or renovated) to support dynamic mission requirements. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting all facets of network installations, which includes the physical placement of CAT5 and fiber optic cable, wall jacks, racks, and communications equipment as required.
• Installing, pulling and terminating cable, determining and implementing required pin outs, cards power supplies, testing and documenting installations, dressing and labeling cables, racks, patch panels, etc.
• Staging and installing desktop computers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
• Supporting projects that include cabling and implementation in accordance with design documents and build-to packages.
• Local travel will be required between customer buildings or temporary assignment to an alternate location in support of special projects.
• Member of a team comprised of a variety of skills that provide coverage from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with flexibility to support 24x7 operations as needed; may need to work extended hours during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experiences, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 4+ years. Minimum 2 years of experience supporting IT installation in the customer environment.
• Excellent knowledge of various cabling methodologies, industry standards, troubleshooting techniques, and reading/understanding cable run lists.
• Experience with installing endpoints including but not limited to desktop IT equipment, printers, VOIP and digital phones, network switches.
• Experience resolving technical problems and answering queries by that involve computer hardware, network, and telecommunications systems.
• Strong understanding of PC hardware and software.
