We make modern flight possible for millions of travelers and our military every second within our Decorah operations team. Our major product lines are on-board virtually every aircraft flying. Be it keeping passengers safe with our fire protection and weather radar devices or optimizing customer experience by providing communication and aircraft navigation devices.

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do:

• Implementation and upkeep of our EH&S management system and programs.
• Provide critical EH&S functional support to the site EH&S generalist to ensure all site actions are completed promptly and in a safe manner.
• Assist in developing overall strategy and policy deployment for continuous improvement in EH&S.
• Provide support for site projects and contractor safety programs.
• Understand the site’s processes and equipment and their relevant hazards and ensure that associated risks are sustained at an acceptable level.

What You Will Learn:

• You will learn a variety of manufacturing processes and procedures focused on growing and strengthening the connection of Environmental, Health and Safety. 
• You will learn various management systems promoting EH&S.
• You will learn how to implement new solutions that improve ergonomics, health and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• CAD and 3D Modeling preferred
• EH & S regulations in compliance knowledge preferred
