We are looking for a Finance & Strategy Manager to join Block and help build Cash App, the fastest growing financial app in the world. Cash App’s Health abstraction specifically aims to foster trust with our customers, enabling the opportunity to serve them a broad suite of financial services. Our team’s role is to surface valuable, data-driven insights and help translate those into actions that ultimately improve the experience for our customers.
As a Manager working on the Cash App Finance & Strategy team, you will:
- Partner with Product, Data Science, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to support new product development and influence strategic roadmaps related to Health
- Forecast and analyze financial and business performance, with a focus on risk vectors, and communicate key takeaways to Cash App and Block leadership
- Execute ad-hoc analyses related to financial performance, opportunity sizing, A/B testing, among other topics
- Present weekly, monthly, and quarterly results to stakeholders across teams such as Product, Finance & Strategy, and Accounting, with an emphasis on underlying drivers and shifts in trends
- Report to the Finance & Strategy Director, Cash App (Health)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including strategic finance, data analytics, investment banking, consulting, or comparable experience
- Excellent spreadsheet-based financial modeling skills (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets)
- Proficiency writing SQL and publishing dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Track record of driving consensus across functional areas through strong written and verbal communication
- Experience in fintech preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant field
Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $152,100 - USD $185,900
Zone B: USD $141,500 - USD $172,900
Zone C: USD $133,800 - USD $163,600
Zone D: USD $121,700 - USD $148,700
